Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 2 tbsp sattu flour (roasted gram flour)
- 1.5 cups cold water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp black salt (or regular salt to taste)
- A pinch of chaat masala (optional)
- 1 tsp finely chopped onion (optional)
- 1/2 tsp finely chopped green chili (optional)
- 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix sattu with a few tablespoons of water to make a smooth paste (prevents lumps).
- Add the rest of the cold water and stir well.
- Add lemon juice, roasted cumin, black salt, and mix.
- Optionally, stir in onion, chili, and coriander for a more traditional, savory taste.
- Taste and adjust salt or lemon as needed.
- Serve immediately, chilled or with ice cubes.
